Chris Kunz, LCSW is a dedicated therapist at Omega Health Services who
brings a unique blend of military experience, clinical training, and
real-world perspective to his work. After retiring from the United States
Army as a Sergeant First Class, Chris pursued his passion for helping
others by earning his Master of Social Work from Boise State University in
2023. He also holds a Master’s degree in Information Systems and
Cybersecurity from the Florida Institute of Technology, reflecting a
diverse professional background grounded in both analytical thinking and
human connection.
Chris specializes in working with individuals facing trauma, PTSD,
substance use challenges, anxiety, and depression. His approach is both
structured and flexible, integrating evidence-based modalities including
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
(CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Accelerated Resolution
Therapy (ART). He combines these approaches with a client-centered,
solution-focused style that emphasizes practical progress and meaningful
change.
Drawing from his own life experiences and years of service, Chris
understands that mental health challenges are complex and deeply personal.
He is passionate about helping clients identify and take control of the
variables within their reach—building resilience, clarity, and confidence
along the way. His goal is to create a supportive environment where clients
feel understood, challenged, and empowered to move forward.
Chris works with a wide range of individuals and believes that everyone
deserves access to effective, compassionate care—no matter where they are
in their journey.
Outside of his professional work, Chris enjoys staying active and pursuing
new experiences. In the winter, you can find him on the mountain, and in
the summer, he’s often out on anything with two wheels. He also enjoys 3D
printing and spending time with his son, helping guide him as he learns to
navigate the world and grow into independence.
